What really makes us happy? Our 10 part series

International Day of Happiness

You may be aware already, but just in case you didn’t know, 20th March 2018 is the UN’s International Day of Happiness!

It all began on 12 July 2012, when the General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed 20 March as the International Day of Happiness.  This initiative recognises the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.

The United Nations invited Member States, international and regional organisations, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organisations and individuals, to observe the International Day of Happiness in an appropriate manner, including through education and public awareness-raising activities.

So here we are… doing our part to be involved with this wonderful initiative.

In doing so, over the next 10 months we are going to share with you a 10-part series on the 10 keys to happier living.  Starting with “Giving”, each month we will publish a new post about each of the 10 keys which are:

1. GIVING
4.  AWARENESS
9. ACCEPTANCE
Be comfortable with who you are
10. MEANING
Be part of something bigger
